Take Pictures by Blinking with Blincam
Blincam is a camera. It is a standalone, handsfree camera that can be attached to any pair of glasses. And not smart glasses but your regular glasses. The good part of the blincam is that to take a picture, all you have to do is wink. It is funded by a Tokyo-based startup.
To take a picture, just wink. So when the Blincam is released and people seem to be winking at you or at something just know they are taking a picture.
How does this magic happen? Well the Blincam operates its shutter when it detects firm, intentional blinks of the eye with patent-pending sensor technology that can differentiate between natural eye-blinking and a concerted effort. So if you blink unintentionally no picture will be taken.
It has built-in Bluetooth technology, so any images captured will be uploaded to a paired phone. If you dont want the hassle of connecting it to their phone, it has 32GB of internal storage.
The Blincam has an integrated speaker for playing a shutter sound, an LED battery indicator light, microUSB, and an ‘HD CMOS’ camera sensor.
According to CNET, the company hopes to release the Blincam on Amazon and other online retailers early 2017. A price has yet to be set.
