That’s right. This feature we love on Snapchat and Instagram stories is here on WhatsApp.

This new feature on WhatsApp gives you new ways to customize pictures and videos. You can now add write or draw on photos and videos, as well as add emoji to express yourself. This makes your chat more fun.

WhatsApp blog reports that “When you capture a new photo or video or share one that’s already on your phone, you’ll automatically see the new editing tools. Whether you’re drawing a big red heart to show how much you miss someone or adding your favorite emoji – sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words. Try adding text too, and change the color and font style.”

WhatsApp also introduced a new camera feature that supports front-facing flash so you can take the perfect selfie. It  illuminates your face and improves the quality of your selfies in low-light and at night.

You also get a zooming feature for recording videos. To zoom in and zoom out, just drag a single finger up and down the screen. To switch between front and rear camera double tap on the screen.

These new features are rolling out on Android phones today and on iPhone soon.
