iPhone 7 and iPhone7 Plus with Wireless AirPods
Wireless AirPods for iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
At the Apple event on Wednesday Apple officially launched the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The rumors were also confirmed. Apple has removed the traditional headphone jack in favor of wireless AirPods.
Apple’s Vice-President Phil Schiller told the audience that the decision to get rid of the headset port was based on courage. The courage to move on from the norm and be outstanding. According to him “Our smartphones are packed with technologies and we all want more, and it is all fighting for space in that same enclosure. Maintaining an old, single-purpose connector just doesn’t make sense.”
This just confirms the fact that you cannot have your cake and eat it. As the iPhone 7 plus comes with dual 12MP cameras. One is a wide angle lens and the other a telephoto lens that can zoom 2X in high quality without using any software. Your pictures wont be grainy when you zoom in to take a shot. iPhone 7 does not have dual cameras but has image stabilization and a new camera flash to improve photos shot in low-light. The front camera has been upgraded to 7MP.
Infrared sensors detect when each pod is in your ear. The music stops automatically if you pull them out of your ear. This helps save your battery as you do not have to remember to turn them off.
Motion sensors control the headphones , all you have to do is double tap to use Siri. Siri detects your voice via built-in mics.
The pods have 5 hours battery life. The battery life is enhanced with the compact charging case that offers 24 hours of total battery life.
The AirPods will go for $159.
